Data Management and Statistics Core

Daniel Gillen, PhD, Professor and Chair, Statistics; Professor, Epidemiology, Public Health

Ultimately, the success of any research project hinges upon identifying and applying appropriate statistical analyses. The Data Management and Statistics (DMS) Core, led by Dr. Dan Gillen, is responsible for providing efficient, comprehensive, and secure data management and analytic support for the UCI Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC).

The DMS Core consists of a team of statisticians available to consult on study design and conduct sophisticated analyses for UCI ADRC research projects.  Faculty and staff in the DMS Core are experts in clinical and observational methods who value collaborative science and seek long-term collaborations for advancing knowledge in the field.

The DMS Core maintains and transfers clinical and neuropathological data to the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC) to support a variety of scientific studies for researchers worldwide.
