About the Speaker:

Daniel Gillen, PhD earned his doctorate in Biostatistics from the University of Washington and serves as Professor and Chair of Statistics in the Donal Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences. He also leads the Data Management and Statistics Core of UCI MIND’s NIH-designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.  Dr. Gillen’s research focuses on the development of statistical methods for efficiently conducting early and late phase clinical trials in Alzheimer’s disease and other health conditions. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and received numerous honors and awards for his work.
